Childcare facilities for staff and faculty
For more than 35 years, MAHE has operated on-campus daycare systems for faculty and staff. The Chiguru Creche, inaugurated in July 2023, is a benchmark for inclusive workplace infrastructure (Daijiworld coverage). The facility features interactive smart boards, CCTV monitoring, themed rooms, outdoor parks, and developmental programming (LinkedIn: Director MIT Manipal). With operational hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, it accommodates academic and clinical staff schedules (Instagram post). Additionally, dedicated creches within pediatric departments enable nursing staff to access childcare near their workstations.
MAHE’s Daycare under faculty oversight (), includes breastfeeding booths and private nursing rooms for staff mothers. These inclusive spaces mitigate stress and improve retention, demonstrating MAHE’s leadership in employee well-being programs.
