Good Health And Well Being
The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) continues to advance its commitment to SDG 3 - Good Health and Well Being by significantly strengthening its contributions to health research, professional healthcare education, and community well-being. With a strong foundation in medical sciences, MAHE produces a large cohort of health-profession graduates each year, addressing regional and national healthcare needs while contributing to global health workforce development.
This year, MAHE expanded its public health footprint through a wide range of preventive and promotive health initiatives. The university conducted targeted community outreach programmes—including health camps, awareness campaigns, screening drives, and health education sessions—designed to improve health literacy among local and vulnerable populations. In addition, MAHE offers structured access to free sexual and reproductive healthcare services, confidential counselling, and mental health support for students, with parallel wellness services available to staff.
A fully smoke-free campus policy, shared access to sports and fitness facilities, and broad engagement with local health institutions reinforce MAHE’s vision of a healthy, inclusive, and supportive environment. Through these integrated academic, clinical, and community-based efforts, MAHE continues to play a transformative role in promoting good health and well-being across the region.
