He developed India’s first procedural guidance document on palliative care for critically ill patients. It can be assessed here.

Merck Foundation and MAHE signs MoU to Train Embryologists from Africa and Asia
Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India and Merck Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA, Germany have successfully established capacity building program to produce competent Embryologists (fertility specialists) in African countries.
The embryology training program (Certificate course in Clinical Embryology and Assisted Reproduction) is part of ‘’Merck More Than a Mother’’ campaign. In many cultures, childless women suffer discrimination, stigma, and ostracism. Their inability to have children results in great isolation, disinheritance, and assaults. “Merck More Than a Mother” empowers such women through the access to information, health, change of mindsets and economic empowerment. The lack of trained and skilled health personnel is the main challenge with respect to access to fertility care in Africa hence the program aims to bridge the deficit of highly skilled Embryologists in Africa and part of Asia to match the ever-rising demand for fertility care in these countries.
students from Ethiopia, Ghana and Malawi received professional training in Manipal and have successfully established IVF programs in their countries. The program is implemented by the Centre of Excellence in Clinical Embryology which is one of the finest centres in Asia for advanced training and research in the field of Embryology
