Free Access to Campus Facilities
The Nehru Memorial Library at MAHE, Manipal, is a public library that was established in 1967. It is located near the C. V. Raman Hostel Block at MAHE, Manipal. The library spans 5,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 40 users at a time.
It houses a diverse collection of books, including reference books, fiction and non-fiction in English, Kannada, and other regional languages. Additionally, it provides access to leading newspapers and general magazines for public reading.
















The library's services are available to MAHE staff, students, and the general public, with a collection that is being continually developed based on user needs. The library is automated with KOHA library software, and its book collections are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Furthermore, it offers internet facilities and an online catalogue search (OPAC) for users to check the availability of books. The library also has a Closed-Circuit Television System (CCTV) in place.
The books are available in the library on Literature, General Knowledge, Mysteries, Art, Culture, Humanity, History, Biographies, Dictionaries, Education, Philosophy, Children’s literature, Comics, Religion, Spirituality and other general subjects.
Children’s Section: Nehru Memorial Library has separate children’s section to serve the Children by providing children’s related books and Magazines.

Manipal Museum of Anatomy and Pathology (MAP)
MAHE offers open access to the Manipal Museum of Anatomy and Pathology (MAP) for experiential learning to the general public, as part of the Free Access to Campus Facilities initiative.
MAP is one of the largest in Asia, housing more than 3000 human anatomy specimens. Thousands of school and college students visit this world-class, high-quality museum from far and wide and provide an equitable opportunity for learning for all. The museum opened its doors to the public in 1954 and was revamped in 2012. The sprawling Anatomy section displays specimens of standard human body parts and organs in a manner that makes them easy to understand. Each organ system of the human body can be explored as a separate entity. The Pathology Museum, which displays diseased body parts and organs, has a popular section on lifestyle-related diseases and their impact on the human body.

Visit by students of Besant College to MAPMAHE offers open access to the Hebbar Gallery and Art Centre for experiential learning to the general public, as part of the Free Access to Campus Facilities initiative.
The Hebbar Gallery and Art Centre envisions itself as a space that nurtures and encourages the spirit of creative expression and art pedagogy which was central to the life and times of artist and art educationist Kattingeri Krishna Hebbar (1911–1996).
HGAC opens its doors to cross-disciplinary engagement with artists and other cultural practitioners in and around the region of South Canara and aims to encourage a deeper and more meaningful relationship between the people, the student communities in the region and art. The Art Centre houses twenty six works of K K Hebbar from the Portrait Collection.
The Art Centre is part of the University’s initiative to establish a cultural centre promoting art and performance with special emphasis on the coastal region of South Canara.
HGAC is committed to its immediate regional community and global artistic community with a focus on artistic creation, pedagogy with an interest in creating a space for thinking about and making art. Thinking through making and thinking through experiencing guides the prime intentions behind the Art Centre.

KK Hebbar 110th birth anniversary celebration news reportMAHE offers open access to Dr TMA Pai Planetarium for experiential learning to the general public as part of the Free Access to Campus Facilities initiative.
Dr TMA Pai Planetarium, with a seating capacity of 70, conducts astronomy shows for school children, college students and the general public on a regular basis. A Carl Zeiss ZKPII Model and Mirror Dome projection system are used to conduct the shows which enthral the audience. The planetarium attracts many visitors and helps ignite the spark of scientific thinking in young minds.

Rashtrakavi Govind Pai Research Centre: Started in 1965 in memory of veteran poet Govind Pai, RGPRC is engaged in research and publication, presentation of endowment awards and PhD programme. The Centre has a fine library and brings out a quarterly journal ‘Tuluva”. This is open to general public.
Regional Resources Centre for Folk Performing Arts: Started in 1983, the Centre popularly known as RRC, is engaged in research, documentation, publication and PhD programme. It has a very valuable audio-visual archive of the folk arts built over the years. This is open to general public.
Yakshagana Kendra: Established in 1981, Yakshagana Kendra is a renowned training center for Yakshagana, a traditional form of theatre from the region. The center also has a professional Yakshagana troupe known as Yaksharanga. Additionally, it offers a three-credit course in Yakshagana appreciation at the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), which is open to the general public.
Kanakadasa Adhyayana Samshodhana Peetha: Started in 2010, the Peetha is engaged in research, programmes and publication about medieval saint-poet Kanakadasa and related areas. Kanakadasa was a voice of spiritual protest within Bhakti tradition of India. This is open to general public.
