University as a body have accessible childcare facilities for students which allow recent mothers to attend university courses
MAHE provides a well-developed Daycare Centre for recent student mothers. The MAHE daycare was established about 35 years ago to provide a safe, nurturing space for MAHE student members to attend classes without having to worry about childcare. With trained staff and a cottage nestled in a quiet neighbourhood, the daycare is accessible and affordable. Great care has been taken to provide the children with classrooms, playgrounds, activity rooms, a small library, and a dormitory-style resting space. The daycare is also equipped to provide care for children across several age groups.
The Creche facility is available within the University Campus, and the facility is available on our other campuses as well, MTMC Jamshedpur & MAHE Bengaluru. The University facility at Manipal is managed by Professionals from the Sunshine Preschool and daycare. Children from various age groups have been accommodated, and earnest efforts have been considered in providing activity rooms, leisure facilities, and pick-up and drop facilities from their respective school buses to ensure that working parents have smooth and worry-free functioning.
The daycare facility remains operational from 8 A.M to 5.30 PM on all working days.

Mothers who use the daycare centres of MAHE can rest assured that there are dedicated facilities available for breastfeeding. These facilities are designed to provide privacy and comfort for mothers to breastfeed their babies in a calm and relaxed environment. The daycare centres have trained staff who can assist mothers with any questions or concerns they may have about breastfeeding. This ensures that mothers can continue to breastfeed their babies even when they are away from home, while also receiving the support they need.

The creche, with a capacity for 39 children aged 8 months to 7 years, is located within the campus residential area and operates from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM to accommodate the needs of staff. Dr Kannan from MIT coordinates the facility's operations in association with the MIT-MSAP Faculty Club.
The newly introduced creche includes age-appropriate theme-based rooms, kid-friendly furniture and restrooms, foldable and modular furniture, CCTV live footage to parents, audio-visual aids in each room, a smart interactive board for early learning, a week's worth of planned activities, and a toddler outdoor park adjacent to the facility.
The creche provides assistance to children for speech, hearing, and brain-building exercises with the support of an experienced team of staff members deployed from MAHE and support from Manipal College of Health Professionals (MCHP), MAHE.
