Womens Application In Underrepresented Subjects
Promoting and encouraging women to apply for subjects where they are underrepresented is crucial for fostering diversity and empowering them in various academic fields at MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education). To encourage women's applications in underrepresented subjects, universities can use various strategies such as outreach programs, collaboration with other universities, community groups, government or NGOs to participate in regional or national campaigns, and financial aid through scholarships and mentorship programs.
Manipal Academy of Higher Education is committed to promoting gender diversity in education. To achieve this goal, the university offers various programs that specifically aim to encourage female students to enrol in subjects that are traditionally underrepresented. These programs are offered through different constituent units of MAHE, providing a supportive environment for young women to pursue their academic and career aspirations.

Promote Courses through the School Contact Program (Encourage applications by women in subjects where they are underrepresented)
Throughout 2023, the faculties of MAHE took part in various promotional activities organized by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. They showcased the college's achievements and offered courses and various curricular and co-curricular activities through posters, presentations, and flyers. Their aim was to encourage students to apply for the underrepresented courses available at MAHE, particularly targeting women students.
MAHE is committed to increasing women's participation in underrepresented subjects by creating an inclusive environment and implementing targeted strategies to encourage female students to pursue these fields. One of the important strategies employed by MAHE is community engagement. This involves collaborating with local communities and organizations that support women in underrepresented subjects to enhance opportunities and awareness of these fields among women.
