National Pharmacovigilance Week
The Adverse Drug Monitoring Centre (AMC), Dept of Pharmacology, Manipal Tata Medical College celebrated the 4th National Pharmacovigilance Week by organizing a community level awareness-cum-sensitization programs, supported by the dept of Community Medicine for the patients and their relatives on19th September. The AMC also participated in the National level e-poster competition conducted by Pharmacovigilance Program of India (PvPI). The general population who regularly visits the local Urban health care and training centre at Birsanagar, Jamshedpur were made aware of the common adverse drug reactions encountered by them and the ways and tools to report then to the nearby Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Centre at Manipal Tata Medical College and via digital and telephonic methods. The session ended by exploring the myths associated with adverse effects and addressing them.
