Collaboration for SDG best practice
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) co-develops international SDG best practices through multi-country partnerships, global conferences, and collaborative research. The Asia-Pacific Conference on Adolescent Mental Health (AMHCON 2024), organized by the Prasanna School of Public Health (PSPH) under India’s SPARC Scheme, in partnership with the University of South Australia and James Cook University (Australia), created evidence-based policy frameworks on adolescent health, digital resilience, and mental well-being (AMHCON 2024 Brochure). Similarly, MAHE’s collaboration with Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS) integrates clinical analytics, digital health protocols, and innovation projects, setting global benchmarks for academia-industry partnerships (Novo Nordisk Partnership - The Hindu BusinessLine).
MAHE’s collaborative approach extends into mobility, technology, and education. The EQUIMOB International Conference on Mobility, Ageing and Health (October 2024), co-developed with Utrecht University (Netherlands), generated inclusive urban design and mobility frameworks integrating data from India and Bangladesh, influencing sustainable infrastructure policy across Asia (EQUIMOB - Utrecht University). In education and digital innovation, MAHE’s strategic MoU with Teachspoon EdTech Pvt. Ltd. (July 2024) created a digital learning consortium for hybrid pedagogy and online curriculum benchmarking (Teachspoon Collaboration - Times Now Education). The Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) and CAST Alimenti (Italy) partnership developed culinary heritage and sustainability training models, which now serve as global best practices for hospitality education. In engineering, the 8th International Conference on Computational Methods in Engineering and Health Sciences (ICCMEH 2024)—co-hosted with Kyushu Institute of Technology (Japan), Universiti Putra Malaysia, and Cranfield University (UK)—produced frameworks on computational modelling ethics and data governance, contributing to open-access repositories (ICCMEH 2024 Brochure).
MAHE’s collaborative research culture transforms academic outcomes into replicable global standards for healthcare, engineering, sustainability, and education. The 7th International Conference on Green Economy and Sustainable Growth (2024), co-hosted with the College of Banking and Financial Studies (Oman) and MAHE Dubai, advanced ESG implementation and sustainable finance frameworks, with Scopus-indexed publications shared globally (Conference Overview). In nursing and healthcare, partnerships with Kuwait’s Al Salam Al-Assima Hospital, South Africa’s Lenmed Nursing College, and Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation (Switzerland) standardized leadership training and treatment protocols adopted internationally. These initiatives demonstrate how MAHE’s global network actively develops and disseminates best-practice frameworks for SDG implementation, operationalizing SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through scalable, evidence-led collaboration.
