World Hand Hygiene Day
On May 5, 2024, the Microbiology Department from one of our off campus, successfully conducted an online poster-making competition in celebration of World Hand Hygiene Day. The event targeted school children from various institutions in Jamshedpur and second- and third-year MBBS students, with a total of 750 school participants and 50 medical students contributing their creative works. Participants submitted their posters via email, which were subsequently evaluated by a distinguished jury based on creativity, relevance, and educational value. Winners were awarded trophies and certificates, fostering a spirit of competition and awareness regarding the importance of hand hygiene, especially in the context of public health. The event not only promoted artistic expression among students but also reinforced crucial health messages aligned with global health initiatives.
