Strengthening School Safety-Hands-Only CPR Training at Madhav Kripa School, Manipal
Madhav Kripa School took a significant stride towards enhancing its safety protocols by organizing a hands-only CPR training session with the centre for CARE and centre for SAVE for 40 dedicated schoolteachers. This initiative not only aimed at equipping educators with life-saving skills but also emphasized the school's commitment to fostering a secure and prepared environment for its students and staff.
The training session commenced with a comprehensive overview of the importance of CPR in cardiac arrest patients. Led by experienced CPR instructors, the teachers delved into the fundamentals of hands-only CPR through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises. The instructors adeptly utilized instructional videos, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on practice to ensure maximum engagement and understanding among the participants. Clear instructions on hand placement, compression depth, and rhythm were provided, enabling teachers to feel confident in their ability to administer CPR effectively.
As the session ended, the teachers were also equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to choking situation, and this was followed by a video demonstration of Automated External Defibrillator.
